A New Beginning at The Labour Temple
Find us in the heart of Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood, nestled between the Olympic Sculpture Park and Space Needle.
A Matter of Taste is now in Belltown! We are so grateful to all the supporters who have gotten us to this point, and now we have turn-key options for teams from 15 to 200 at our location! During our residency with Seattle Restored we recognized our passion for Seattle includes being part of the history of our city, and the Labour Temple is part of that story. Winner of the 2023 Best Preservation Project from the Seattle Historic Association, this revitalized location respects the history of workers and union contribution to the growth of Seattle, while also boasting some seriously lux digs to hold tastings, connections, and collaboration for teams and groups.
How do you refine your business vision?
At some point, you have to try it out in the real world. Our balance of experiential learning and celebration is unique, and we have heard from lots of people who confirm that learning, doing, tasting, making and sharing in our specific framework delivers the fun and the function of connecting and growing together. The six month residency with Seattle Restored allowed us to workshop our approach with teams and the public- sharing the A Matter of Taste method and message to a wide audience. We have refined it to be what we know what professional teams need, a welcoming respite, a renewing break, and a commitment to purpose that feels great.
What does this mean for us and our client teams?
We now have the capacity and capability to support groups to go beyond team building and host elevated learning, doing, celebrating and connecting events that deliver impactful memories on mission and message. In classic terms, unlike traditional team building options that demand a complete departure from who you are to enjoy, Joanna and I are now even more enabled to do what we love, which is elevating team collaboration and celebration through relevant fun, enriching, engaging and renewing activities and discussions. Doing that in a location that celebrates shared values of dignified work, excellence in craft, and respect for history is just…correct.
