Where Culinary Arts Meet Team Science

A Matter of Taste is led by Joanna Lepore Dwyer and Jennifer Diamond, two experts who blend culinary innovation, sensory science, and organizational leadership to craft strategic learning experiences that drive meaningful change.

  • Joanna, a former head of Product Development at Theo Chocolate, is a sensory scientist and experiential designer who specializes in creating high-touch, flavor-driven engagements that activate learning.

  • Jennifer, a seasoned consultant and educator, brings deep expertise in change leadership, innovation strategy, and team transformation, helping organizations navigate complex transitions and sustain high performance.

Together, they merge science, strategy, and sensory experience to help teams break through barriers, reimagine collaboration, and unlock their full potential.

What We Offer

A Matter of Taste creates customized, high-impact sensory experiences that go beyond team-building to drive long-term collaboration, leadership development, and organizational culture shifts.

"The training was a standout—our team's favorite part! Who knew chocolate could enhance learning and feedback?" - Carol S.

Our Approach

Our corporate team experiences integrate food science methodologies with group learning models to engage all the senses. Tasting with all the Senses (™) creates a shared language for exploring complex team dynamics, decision-making styles, and creative problem-solving.

Our four-part framework serves as the foundation for deeply tailored experiences:

  1. Mindful Orientation – Establishing a shared starting point through sensory activities that spark curiosity and trust.

  2. Guided Learning – Facilitating dynamic exercises that challenge perspectives, enhance communication, and build adaptability.

  3. Discovery by Doing– Encouraging hands-on collaboration to uncover insights that apply directly to your team’s challenges and opportunities.

  4. Fostering Action – Ensuring the experience translates into real-world strategies, with tools and frameworks for sustained impact.
