Crucial Communication

Collaborating over Chocolate

Practice techniques to engage with clarity and respect, learning from global examples.

Learning to communicate effectively while respecting preferences and context takes practice, thinking through real and specific situations. How we receive and share information, how we experience and offer respect, and how we apply what we learn is part of who we are as individuals and how we work as a team.

We provide your team an opportunity to practice crucial communication and intentional collaboration in a new context- the complex flavors and social histories of chocolate and other cherished colonial foods.

In this workshop participants will:

-Earn Professional Development Units (3 PDUs for half-day, 6 PDU for full-day agendas) on leadership topics supporting a range of professional certifications

-Practice communication tactics and techniques, define shared problems, and support individual change readiness

-Learn to appreciate the complexity of chocolate flavors, history, and representation in a changing global food conversation.
