Our Team

A Matter of Taste workshops, products, and curriculum are designed and facilitated by Jennifer Diamond, a highly credentialed and experienced management consultant, educator, facilitator and practitioner of change leadership disciplines and Joanna Lepore Dwyer, a culinary professional and educator on topics of product development and innovation. We draw from our unique mix of skills and experiences to use flavor and taste as a foundation for team-building and improved collaboration.

In 2023 we were selected as a participant in Seattle Restored, a city-sponsored renewal program bringing back the heartbeat of our city by hosting pop-ups and art installations throughout Seattle. We are proud to host events and coaching in our Seattle Restored location at 512 2nd Avenue, at the foot of the iconic Smith Tower.

We are delighted to make use of our space by sitting down with clients who need us.

Joanna Lepore Dwyer

Joanna is a pastry chef, chocolate maker, and artist who is passionate about creating sensory experiences to encourage connections between individuals and their environments. She holds a certificate in sensory science from The Institute of Food Technologists, a BFA in Sculpture, and 20 years’ experience in fine pastry, chocolate making, and culinary training in NYC and Seattle including a nearly 10-year stint as Theo Chocolate’s head of Product Development. Joanna currently works to help companies and restaurants conceive, design and develop custom products, build robust quality assurance programs, and navigate the intricate world of ingredient sourcing and contract manufacturing.

Jennifer Diamond

Jennifer is a writer, coach, consultant and instructor with a lifelong affinity for fine flavors and aromas.  30+ years of change delivery through high functioning teams and 15+ years of university-level instruction in project management and sustainability have run alongside passionate interests in aromatherapy, food science, culinary arts, fine dining, and chocolate!  She is degreed and certified in all sorts of flavors of strategic value alignment and delivery, as well as coffee mastery and a Level 1 certification from the International Institute of Chocolate & Cacao Tasting. Jennifer teaches, consults and coaches on delivering change.
